by just a millisecond, the girl who waited for hours just to get her share of free medicine, missed the last one! All she got from the person giving out the freebies was a dismayed look accompanied by the phrase "wala na po..." (no more)

It broke my heart as she passed by me...head hung low...carrying her two month old baby. As she approached her young husband, she gave him a long look...the look of worry...the look of fear...no words can fully describe the emotion that came along that long stare. The young man sighed...took the baby from her wife's frail overworked hands and went on their way. She followed her husband along a crooked path back to where they came from. Half way through, she looked back...eyes wandering frantically...hoping that somehow...someway...she could get those medicines that she desperately need. moments passed...still no medicines. Another minute more and her eyes started to well up with tears...then she turned her back...and continued their journey back home.

The reality of life is cruel...they needed Jesus more than the medicine she lined up for...i pray that she and her family would come to know Christ...because He has all the answer to life's problems...

aren't you glad that when you ask for salvation, no one will ever say "wala na po."

RDM#2 : PAS PIKRIA

pas pikria...a greek phrase that means "all kinds of bitterness"

If there is one thing we should get rid of before going into a relationship, that's BITTERNESS...and all of it's kinds! in my study of Relationship, Dating and Marriage, bitterness is a killer than can really damage the soul of a believer! here are some principles regarding PIKRIA (bitterness)...avoid being an "OSCAR" to someone...oscar ain't that cute in the first place!

• There is no legitimate BITTERNESS
• Every believer who harbors BITTERNESS is a walking bomb
• PIKRIA (Greek Noun) – Bitterness – animosity – jealousy – hostility
• To become bitter, is
• To be very sarcastic
• To have pain in the mentality
• To be miserable
• Anger is the overt manifestation of bitterness
• Bitterness is severity of temper
• Bitterness is PAINFUL INWARD AFFLICTION
• Bitterness defiles self and others
• MARAH (Hebrew) – Angry discontentment
• This is one sin that poisons the mind with painful and piercing irritation
• Accounts of bitterness in the bible
• Bitterness because of Bareness (1 Samuel 1:10)
• Bitter people (Ezekiel 28:30; 2 Kings 24:6)
• Bitterness because of suffering (Deut 32:34)
• Bitterness because of Ridicule (Lam 3:14)
• Bitterness because of arrogance (Acts 8:23)
• Bitterness because of Cosmic System Control (Eph 4:31)
• Bitterness is inconsistent…it can breed in any situation
• Bitterness stops God from blessing us!
• Bitterness can destroy our spiritual life
• BITTER PEOPLE CANNOT HAVE PEACE IN ANY SCALE OF VALUES IN ANY TYPES OF RELATIONSHIP IN LIFE!
• Bitter people are self-destructive!
• No man/woman is worth making us bitter
• Rejection is a strong reason for bitterness
• Bitterness means:
• Selfishness
• Being inconsiderate
• Being withdrawn to society
• Indifference toward social behavior
• Jealousy is the only sin that there is only one levitical offering for it!
• The Right Lobe knows its own bitterness…
• Bitterness is so obvious that even strangers can see it!
• Bitterness builds up a complaining attitude
• Jer 2:19 – Bitterness results from backsliding
• Jer 4:18 – A bitter person complains because of how things are going!
• You solve relationship problems by having your relationship with God is in order
• James 3:13-15 – You’re lying against doctrine when you are bitter!
• Bitterness resides in the RIGHT LOBE!
• Bitterness is a blasphemous type of complaining (Job 9:17)
• Bitterness is irrational!
• Bitterness can lead to sin unto death (Job 21:25)
• Bitterness defiles our lives!(Psalm 64:1)

Relationship, Dating and Marriage

I wanna give you some principles i have acquired regarding my current study on Relationship, Dating and Marriage! i feel that this study has impacted my understanding of human relationships in a very positive way...i dedicate this post to my young people at Faith Baptist Church...one thing you have to use while reading the principles below is OBJECTIVITY! So...here they are and ENJOY!

• Principles make relationships work, not LOVE! Where there is no principle, there is no relationship.
• Marriage is the most difficult part of a Christian’s life…more problems and trials are experienced in marriage.
• Marriage is a DIVINE INSTITUTION.
• The major problem in marriage is retrogression of the Spiritual Life of one or both individual.
• Marriage puts two people in confined quarters…(two OSN in confined quarters)
• As marriage progresses, outside attraction retrogresses. Overt attraction should not be the foundation of a relationship.
• When outside attraction is gone, soul attraction is the only connection left!
• The real person is the greatest challenge on a day by day basis for living in the predesigned plan of God and for growing in grace.
• Personal love will not carry a relationship.
• Marriage should be the beginning of love and not the end of love.
• If a relationship is going to turn out right, there must be an abundance of bible doctrine in the soul.
• The problem with marriage is not marriage, it’s PEOPLE!
• Eph 4:31-5:22 – Preparation for marriage
• Marriage fall apart because of CHRISTIAN DEGENERACY
• Any relationship in life, in order to become successful, must be founded in PRINCIPLES!
• Marriage has no TIME OFF! It is a lifetime of commitment once started. you are STUCK WITH IT!
• Eph 4:31-32 – FORGIVENESS
• Principle 1: Importance of being in the Pre Designed Plan of God (Eph 5:1-2 – be imitators of GOD)
• Principle 2: Importance of Virtue and Integrity carry relationships (Eph 5:3-4)
• Principle 3: Importance of Bible Doctrine is important in protecting the relationship from cosmic thinking. (Eph 5:5-17)
• Principle 4: Importance of the Filling of the Spirit (Eph 5:18-21)
• All of the previous principles, once mastered, readies you for Eph 5:22 (MARRIAGE)
• Marriage is a very sensitive spot with regards to your spiritual life.
• Marriage CAN destroy your relationship with God.
  
• The ultimate in Happiness is not finding your perfect mate…it’s bible doctrine in your soul.
• Marriage is not for people looking for happiness; marriage is for people who are ALREADY happy!
• Once people get their eyes on people, you lose objectivity!
• When you are stuck with someone, and overt attractiveness has gone away, PRINCIPLES should be the foundation you should turn to!
• Just because a person is a Christian, that doesn’t guarantee a good mate! A Christian in carnality is no better than an unbeliever.
• The INTERCOURSE OF THE SOUL will make the marriage last!
• Inculcated Bible Doctrine should be the FOUNDATION of every marriage.
• Arrogance blows out relationships.
• The biggest thing you should have before you get into marriage is IMPERSONAL LOVE!

Me, My Doc and the Needy

The best part of having a doctor for a fiance (besides from the free medical attention she's giving me) is having the opportunity to witness, firsthand, God's miracle of healing through her...Just recently, i was invited to go with her on a medical mission at Lucena. It was a long (and i really mean long) drive...of course, i (her knight in shining armor) was gracious enough (ahem) to drive for her. Riding with us were her co-doctors. A conversation with God broke out in my head while we were on the way to the site. And i remember God impressing in my heart this kind of ministry in the future...and it kinda got me excited! I don't mind driving long hours, having sleepless nights and unbearable body aches if i know that it was all because i gave my time to those who need it! I will never call these kind of charity work "waste of time"...it's more of an opportunity to get their attention on more important things like their Spiritual Condition. I believe that attending to their Physical needs is just a way for us to attend to what's really important...their SOUL! Half way to the trip, i looked at my doc on the passenger seat (that sounded cheezy) and felt a bolt of gratitude in me that God had brought us together for a chance to Glorify Him as one. I can't think of anyone else to partner with me and all my crazy ideas! So even if at the end it's just going to be me, my doc and the needy...it's ok...it's more than enough for me!

Faith in the PNP

As I got on the bus going to work, an early morning news program was being shown on the “on-board Audio Video system” (not much of a system if you ask me). The reception was not that good; you can hardly recognize the person speaking but in fairness…the audio was quite bearable. I shifted my attention to the fast moving traffic while trying to decode the garbled sound that was being thrown at us...then I heard a phrase that really got my interest…a Director of the PNP (Philippine National Police) was being interviewed during a charity walk that had just concluded…and he addressed the current controversy on corruption that the PNP has been facing for the past month…he said something that gave me the HOLY GOOSE BUMPS…and I’ll quote "ang pagbabago sa PNP ay manggagaling lamang sa pananampalataya sa Panginoon" Change in the PNP will only come from having faith in the Lord. *TING* My soul’s self consciousness was sending signals to my mentality trying to confirm the legitimacy of what I’ve heard …then after 30 seconds, a smile broke out…yup…what he said was absolutely true! But let me tweak it a little bit for better understanding!

Let me break it down to you like this…the only good change (absolute good) that will happen to us begins at Salvation. When we accept Christ as our own Personal Savior, the first wave of change happens…instantly we are not anymore of our father the devil, we are now Adopted Royalties...not a second later, we have inherited the Perfect Righteousness of God as the basis of his blessings for us...right then and there, we have access to grace gifts and problem solving devices! BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE! Those are just the preliminaries…as time goes by and when we become diligent in studying the Word of God, our capacity for life increases…thus giving us the opportunity to be used of God as a source of blessing for others…and when we have reached that point where in God’s Grace is evident in our lives and the principles of God are just overflowing from our conscience…we then become a part of the pivot point of that much awaited CHANGE!

Change should be done from the inside out…not the other way around! An internal proponent should be established as the foundation of every decision you will do that will bring about change. so…I say yes…change has to come from our Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ…nothing else can bring about such divine change!

only in the Philippines would you hear about a whole Senate Committee being formed to investigate about overpriced fertilizers...yes...you heard me right...FERTILIZERS! It is only in our government where you will find officials having the audacity to profit in every stinking program they can get their hands on! The corruption level of our public servants has reached a level of unthinkable integrity loss...and when Integrity is lost, the downfall begins. God is the only being who has perfect integrity, so who do you think can help us with our current state? start building your character...start investing in your integrity bank...and divine truths are the only currency that you should be depositing in your norms and standards. If you are a Christian, and you've taken that first step of accepting Jesus as your savior, then you are on the right track! The next step now is learning principles from the Word of God that should be your guide to life. And through the application of those principles you gain the integrity that is needed to be a pivot point for this country!

Detailed Design

I took this picture at the backside of one of the biggest Catholic Church in metro manila...isn't it amazing how meticulously detailed this artwork was done? But how many of us know the real details on why the Son of God was willing to lay down His life for us?

You see...long before any of us existed (eternity past) God looked down the hallway of time and saw that in a certain point, Man would sin and that death would be evident in humanity...and through procreation, that SIN or nature where in human kind would die, will be passed down by the male species to all generation...making it impossible for anyone to overcome it! But then, God the Father, being moved with love, did not want us to perish...out of his Sovereignty, he made a decree that God the Son would be born of a Virgin (so that the power of Sin would not be passed to Him) and be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind! That is why Jesus Christ never complained while going to Calvary...because while he was being beaten, spat on, humiliated and persecuted...He had every one of us in his mentality!

And that's how detailed i can get...so don't forget...Jesus did it partly because He wants to give us hope and mainly to exalt His name as the CONQUEROR OF DEATH!
